New Software in Critical Thinking Lab

By popular demand, a new software program, TexMakerX, has been installed on the computers in the Critical Thinking Lab. TexMakerX enables users to create documents in LaTeX, a document markup language and preparation system that can be used to format documents, create bibliographies, and import data into power point presentations. LaTeX also enables users to insert mathematical and logical notation into documents easily. As such, it should be particularly helpful for those of you working in technical areas of philosophy (e.g., formal epistemology, formal logic, and philosophy of math, language, and computer science).
